The Founder’s Journey: Pioneering 3D Printing in Healthcare
Our founder, Sanjay Pathak, has a story of vision and perseverance — a journey that has revolutionized healthcare through 3D printing technology in India. With over 25 years of experience in the medical device industry working with leading U.S. and European healthcare MNCs, his passion for innovation led him to explore the transformative potential of 3D printing in healthcare back in 2015. From attending global conferences in Mumbai, Germany, and Singapore to delivering India’s first 3D-printed titanium implant for spinal surgery at Medanta Hospital (C1-C2 vertebrae replacement in a tuberculosis patient) in 2017 — a groundbreaking achievement that garnered global attention, including coverage by Forbes Asia (HealthTech Segment) and many more. This was one of only two such cases in the world at the time, the other being in Australia.

Encouraged by this success, in 2018, he solved another groundbreaking case and delivered a custom-made acetabular hip implant for a patient at AIIMS New Delhi. Recognizing the potential of 3D printing in dentistry, he also co-founded 32 Watts, a company specializing in bespoke clear dental aligners, which continues to thrive today. Osteoskill India Private Limited was founded in September 2020. Since then, Sanjay Pathak has delivered over 1,000 patient-specific solutions — setting new standards for precision medicine and surgical outcomes while transforming lives worldwide.

Innovation in Crisis: Rising Above Challenges
When the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted elective surgeries, Sanjay Pathak showcased his entrepreneurial agility by pivoting to address an urgent healthcare need — developing world-class face shields in collaboration with DRDO. These shields met U.S. standards and were widely used by hospitals, the Indian Army, and even Parliament members during the crisis. This strategic move not only addressed critical shortages but also reinforced his problem-solving expertise while ensuring business sustainability during challenging times.
